| Dear Sir, Madam: |
This is the first issue of a newsletter dedicated to the Mille Miglia, a jewel from the past whose soul looks to the future, thanks to the inventive and enduring sportive tradition of the Brescia Automobile Club. Soon you shall be transported into the whirlwind of emotions which makes this event so unique. Enzo Ferrari called it, “the world’s greatest road race”. Come venture further to find that “il Drake” was right!
In the next few issues, we will give you all the latest updates with regards to preparation for the race, along with anecdotes and tidbits for the curious. We’ll tell you which cars are participating, which crews, details of the route, the international Roadshows and other related events, along with photos, interviews, and exciting accounts of the legendary Freccia Rossa, following one after the other.
The Mille Miglia is renewed each year, but still manages to keep that distinguished world-wide fascination that brooks no imitation. This year marks the appearance of the Mille Miglia Community, the first Notte Bianca della Mille Miglia (a night where the sun never sets on Brescia) dedicated to the historic competition, and other new events.
Through this newsletter, you will be kept informed of evolution in the Mille Miglia world.
REGISTRATION, OPENED ON SEPTEMBER 20, WILL CLOSE ON

| The Mille Miglia Community |
For the first time in history, those who have taken part in the Mille Miglia can share their experiences in an exclusive world.
The Mille Miglia Community, for Freccia Rossa appassionati only, will first be a virtual and then a physically real meeting space, to bring together all those who own a car which has raced in the historic Mille Miglia (1927-1957), or in one of its revivals.
The Community will be the permanent reference point for these special people. It will increase the value of race participants’ prestige, tradition and visibility throughout the world. The chance to live and relive the Mille Miglia, step by step, in preparation for the latest revival with updates for the latest great events.
Only 1000milers can show the Community Badge on their car. This refined metal plate also bears witness to the car’s participation in Mille Miglias of the past, and each revival of the future will then be engraved there as well.
Three types of badges are planned, each corrisponding to one of the three 1000miler categories, which relate in turn to the type of participation the car has seen:
- A Mille Miglia speed race
- A Mille Miglia revival, with a car whose model has participated in a historic speed race.
- A car which has participated in derogation, in at least one revival,
Along the external edge of the badge, the dates of the car’s participation in the various races or revivals will be engraved.
The 1000miler will also receive a Mille Miglia marked piece of apparel, and the OBU, which is a GPS unit which upon activation, allows the car’s position to be shown on the Community website wherever it may be.
Through a personalized page with the profile of his car, and a forum reserved only for 1000milers, the community member can share with others his photos, documents, experiences, emotions for his classic car.
If your car has raced in the Mille Miglia or taken part in one of its revivals, even if it was only one time, even if it was in derogation, come join the community. On the official website community.1000miglia.eu, you will find all the information you need to register, along with the next appointments not to be missed, and 1000miler stories as well. |
